NSSF Awards Grants to Nine States to Promote Hunting

With hunting facing a range of challenges from access to urbanization, the National Shooting Sports Foundation has announced $499,000 in grants that will assist states with projects designed to keep current hunters active and introduce newcomers. Take a closer look at this year's NSSF Hunting Heritage Partnership grant recipients and their projects.

Scholarships for Voting Members

NSSF is offering students attending college or vocational school during the 2009-10 school year the chance to win one of twenty-five $1,000 scholarships. A completed application with an accompanying essay must be received by NSSF no later than June 30.

Legislation currently in the U.S. Senate (S. 632) and House of Representatives (HR 510) to rectify a longstanding inequity in the frequency with which firearms and ammunition manufacturers pay a federal excise tax - to aid conservation efforts - needs your immediate support.

ATF Reform Bill Introduced
A bill introduced by Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) would allow ATF new powers to issue fines and suspend licenses of firearms retailers (as opposed to current regulations which only allow for license revocation). Learn more.
