Chief Referee for the SCTP National Championship Praises SCTP Athletes.

Bill:

I thought it prudent to make a very pointed comment regarding the recent SSSF/SCTP Nationals at Sparta.

As you know my students from the Southeastern Illinois College Game Preserve/Shooting Complex Management programs officiate many of the largest NSCA Sporting events nationwide including Nationals and The US Open as well as The Browning/Briley, Texas State and several others. As an outcome of this officiating the students deal directly with shooters from across the Nation in every NSCA class offered under high pressure tournament conditions.

Here is my point: To the man/lady, even during your shoot, but certainly after, my students said they had never officiated a shoot where all of the shooters were so polite, courteous and generally well mannered. This speaks highly of not only your youth shooters but certainly their coaches and your program. As chief ref for sporting and skeet I was amazed and pleased beyond belief at the performance of these shooters and their coaches. I personally had the occasion to visit with several coaches and expressed my delight to them. Now I would appreciate the opportunity to have you inform all of them of my and my students thoughts on their and their shooters performances.

I wish press coverage of this event could have been greater. This was the perfect opportunity to showcase youth shooting to the American public. Perhaps next year and to that end, please consider utilizing my refs again next year. We loved it.

Thanks and good luck.
